The children are also educated in matters of health, hygiene, environment and sanitation. Further Humankind provides guidance for higher studies and vocational training to youth who have passed out of school as also to adults of the community. Under Saksham, Humankind provides vocational training, to begin with, in the trade of tailoring at a centre operating in a rented place in Gandhivas, a “basti” of hundreds of underprivileged families in Sabarmati area of Ahmedabad. Children are also introduced to preliminary financial literacy.

They are looking for a bunch of enthusiastic students and professionals who are willing to teach kids basic computer skills like MS Office, Paint, etc. The objective is to make the beneficiaries digitally literate and tech-savvy.

They work in the fields of science and technology, defence awareness and welfare, commerce and entrepreneurship, arts and culture, education, health, women empowerment, etc. Under their Salute India initiative, a forum for connecting civilian society with the defence forces, the organization is hosting Veershakti – a grand exhibition in association with the Indian Army, from 13th to 15th December 2019.

They need volunteers to help with various tasks during their Indian Army Exhibition such as registrations, crowd management, audio-visual setup, assisting visitor batches, logistics, photography, videography, social media, documentation, coordination with core team and other activities. Volunteers will be sensitized for their specific responsibilities prior to the event. The volunteers will have to attend the exhibition in Mulund for at least 8 hours per day on event days and may need to carry their laptop or camera.
