Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled was established in 1999 by three highly motivated graduates, all visually impaired, who had a strong desire to help people with disabilities experience the life opportunities for which they had to fight so hard to obtain. The principal goals of Snehadeep are to provide accommodation, education, training and assistance with personal development to both the visually impaired and physically challenged.

Snehadeep along with Sweetness of Blindness aims to bridge the social gap and bring the visually impaired persons to our society by initiating a larger than a life-friendly journey to Tirumala and Talakona waterfalls for their visually impaired friends accompanied by normally abled volunteers. They require volunteers in assisting the visually impaired persons throughout the tour. The journey will start at Bengaluru.

Travel date: 30 November 2018 – 2 December 2018.

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is a non profit engaged in empowering persons with disabilities and distress in socio-economic-cultural fronts through its various initiatives on Education, Livelihood, Environment, Health & Nutrition, Sports, Culture and Rehabilitation.

They run digital library program wherein they convert books [general, competitive & curriculum based] in audio format so that visually impaired students can access them.

They have two book recording studios at their center where the volunteers can record books.

Volunteer can record the books remotely as well, but all volunteers will need to visit the organisation for the initial orientation on how to use the software for recording books.
