Do you want to work for the environment with kids and all the way through the medium of art?

If yes, come to be part of DaanUtsav (Joy of giving week) with 300,000 children who will adopt the practice of reuse, reduce and recycle. Join hands with 1187 schools in 450+ locations across Mumbai managed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)

Be part of Art Paathshala, a 2-hour long session, teaching children to make Paper-Bags with the help of newspapers and create patterns & designs on the same. Children will then donate these to shopkeepers in and around their community encouraging the practice of recycling.

This activity with incúlcate a sense of sharing and giving among the children and also create an awareness about maintaining cleanliness in our society. It will also support the ‘plastic ban’ and help in reducing waste moving towards a cleaner and greener India.

Come participate as volunteer or volunteer leader:

  • Time: 4 hours in school + 2 hour preparation
  • Material: 3 bottles of joker gum + 3 boxes of crayon (10 piece each) + 7 days newspaper

Oasis India is a registered non-profit that aims to bring change by actively working among disadvantaged communities with initiatives in education, health, employment readiness, sports and other related areas. They have a key focus on anti-human trafficking and partner with local authorities, including the police, railway protection force and child welfare committees to prevent children from being trafficked.

The Mukhti Bike Rally Challenge is a 7 day trip as part of Oasis India’s awareness raising initiatives to ensure that people know trafficking happens and can protect their families and communities against it happening to them. They require experienced volunteers to click photos and film short videos during their bike rally, Volunteers should also know editing for the post-production or images and videos were taken. The volunteer will accompany them for the entire trip. Travel and accommodation of the volunteer will be covered by the NGO.
