Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust is committed to the welfare of people from the most underprivileged strata of society without distinction of caste, creed or colour. Its emphasis is on assisting children and youth who are citizens of tomorrow and the disabled who needs support to help them join mainstream society. As a part of the Mission Million Books initiative, Ratna Nidhi has distributed over 8 lakh books to more than 3500 underprivileged schools and colleges for free. Their work is very simple but has a lasting effect on the children they distribute these books too.
They have their MUSE (Mumbai Urban Slum Eyecare) Centre at Mahalakshmi, which provides routine Eye Checkup for Pressure and Glasses, Slit Lamp Eye Examination & Glaucoma and identifying serious eye ailments in the patients absolutely FREE of cost. They are looking for volunteers to help needy people in the city to avail of these free services at their MUSE Centre at Mahalaxmi by bringing Patients to their Medical Centre. The volunteer will have to participate in awareness activities at multiple locations at least once every week for approximately 4 hours.
