CF1857 – Life Skills Sessions Volunteer
Are you looking to impart critical life skills to underprivileged children?
Mentor Together is a non-profit organization that has pioneered the youth mentoring movement in India. Their mission is to provide empowering one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people from backgrounds of social and economic disadvantage break the inequality of opportunity. Mentor Together team is working with 60 high school students selected for mentoring program, through Brihanmumbai Municipal Schools (BMC). The students referred as Mentees will be from low-income families and also face other conditions of individual or environmental risks.
They are looking for a volunteer proficient in Marathi to conduct group sessions once a month on different topics like emotional management, decision making, future aspiration etc. Volunteer will receive training to impart crucial skills of empathy, facilitation, relationship building and boundary setting. The volunteer would need to visit BMC schools in Andheri for 4 hours per month.
