Translator Volunteer

Sunshine Welfare Foundation(Nirvana Carbon Foundation) works with smallholder farmers to eliminate crop-residue burning by converting agricultural waste into high-quality biochar through decentralized, artisanal flame-curtain kilns. Our work strengthens rural livelihoods, restores degraded soils, and achieves long-duration carbon removal that supports India’s climate goals. We integrate scientific rigor with community governance, using a robust digital MRV system to ensure transparency, traceability, and high-integrity carbon credits. By bringing climate technology directly into villages, we create local employment, empower women and youth as operators and data auditors, and return the majority of carbon revenues back to farming communities. Our model addresses air pollution, soil degradation, rural poverty, and climate change simultaneously, creating a regenerative and community-owned pathway toward environmental sustainability.
